• Direct Ss to the title and the subheadings in the text and elicit what they think it is about and what some ways of standing out from the crowd are.
• Play the recording. Ss listen and read and find out.

Answer Key
I think the text is about how to be noticed more than other applicants when applying for a job.
Some ways of standing out from the crowd are by having an interesting CV that shows your skills clearly, by getting some relevant work experience or by having a good reputation online with business social networks.
