{0>В этом путешествии мы объезжаем полуостров Pedernales и его интересные места.<}0{>In this journey we went across the Pedernales Peninsula visiting its places of interest.<0} {0>Наш путь начинается из города Pedernales, расположенного недалеко от границы с Гаити в сторону Cabo Rojo.<}0{>We started our travel in Pedernales, a town near the border with Haiti, and go towards Cabo Rojo.<0} {0>Здесь на берегу мы устраивали барбекю и собирали ракушки после Rally Frontiera.<}0{>There, on the coast we cooked barbecue and pick up shells after the Rally Frontiera.<0} {0>Очень красивое побережье с изумрудной водой, но поплавать вдоволь у нас не получилось - дно каменистое.<}0{>It was a very beautiful coast with emerald-green water, but we failed to swim because of the rocky bottom. <0}

{0>Через полчаса после выезда из Педерналеса поворачиваем к национальному парку Sierra De Baoruco.<}0{>In 30 minutes after the departure from Pedernales we turned to the Sierra De Baoruco National Park.<0} {0>По приезду в Parque El Pelempito мы заплатили по 50 песо с лица и поехали любоваться геологической депрессией.<}0{>Having arrived in Parque El Pelempito each of us paid 50 pesos and went to behold the geological depression.<0} {0>При желании можно остаться на ночь в парке, например, со своей палаткой.<}0{>You may spend a night in the park in your own tent, if you like to.<0} {0>Но для этого нужно послать запрос в Министерство Окружающей Среды:<}0{>Though, you have to send a request to the Environment Ministry:<0}

{0>Bahoruco Sierra Park насчитывает около 1400 разновидностей растений, из которых 439 – эндемичные.<}0{>The Bahoruco Sierra Park hosted about 1400 species of plants; 439 of them are endemic.<0} {0>По небольшим тропинкам нужно дойти до смотровой площадки, которая открывает вид на всю «впадину».<}0{>Going on narrow paths one was to get to the observation platform opening a view on the whole “depression”.<0} {0>Таблички «Не слушай музыку», «Не кури», «Не пей» - слева и справа.<}0{>“No music”, "No smoking", and "No drinking" signs were mounted in the left and in the right. <0} {0>Геологическая депрессия образовалась здесь много лет назад.<}0{>The geological depression had been formed there many years ago.<0} {0>Огромный пласт земли просел.<}0{>A huge ground layer had lowered.<0} {0>Глубина этой «дыры» - 700-800 метров.<}0{>The depth of this “hole” amounted to 700–800 meters.<0} {0>Вид со смотровой площадки просто восхитительный.<}0{>The view from the observation platform was simply admirable.<0} {0>Здесь же висят фото различных птиц и растений, которые встречаются в парке.<}0{>On the platform, there were the photos of various birds and plants living in the park.<0}

{0>Далее, в наших грандиозных планах посещение Parque Nacional Jaragua.<}0{>The next point in our great journey was Parque Nacional Jaragua.<0} {0>Мы отправляемся по дороге к Oviedo.<}0{>We started on the road to Oviedo.<0} {0>В одном из мест трассы есть съезд, где мы хотели прорваться к побережью и поискать там лодочников для поездки на остров Beata, но тропа после середины пути оказалась слишком узкой для наших внедорожников, а лошадей и мотоциклов мы с собой не возим.<}0{>In the certain part of the route, there was a turn which we wanted to follow in order to reach the coast and find a boatman to sail to the Beata Island with. But on the midway, the path became too narrow for our off-roadsters and we did not have horses or motorcycles with us.<0} {0>Пришлось возвращаться на трассу.<}0{>We had to return to the route.<0}

{0>Подъехали к Laguna De Oviedo.<}0{>We approached Laguna De Oviedo.<0} {0>Предупреждаю сразу.<}0{>I warn you:<0} {0>Вас на ресепшене начнут разводить на обязательного гида за 700 рублей.<}0{>at the reception they will flog you a necessary guide for 700 roubles.<0} {0>Не мне вам объяснять на скольких известных языках нужно послать этих чудо-помощников.<}0{>I think it is unnecessary to say in what languages you should give fluff to those super helpers.<0} {0>200 песо и вперед.<}0{>200 pesos and that is it.<0}

{0>Вообще, лагуна не стоит посещения, только время зря потратили.<}0{>In fact, the lagoon was not worth visiting: it was a waste of time. <0} {0>Пейзажи с мангровыми зарослями, подобные этим, можно увидеть где угодно.<}0{>The views with mangroves like those might be seen anywhere.<0} {0>Предполагалось, что отсюда мы должны были стартовать на мнимых лошадях.<}0{>It was supposed that we would take some fancy horses then.<0} {0>Но их не было, как мы не старались представить себе их.<}0{>But there were no horses, even though we did our best to imagine them.<0}

{0>По поверьям, за этими кустами скрываются толпы розовых фламинго.<}0{>They say, crowds of pink flamingos hid behind those bushes.<0} {0>Они то и дело пытаются наступить вам на ногу.<}0{>They were always trying to step on your foot.<0} {0>Берегите ноги…<}0{>Mind your feet…<0}

{0>Когда будете выезжать – не торопитесь.<}0{>When you depart – do not hurry.<0} {0>Выехав на асфальт, остановитесь ненадолго.<}0{>Having moved to the asphalt, wait for a while.<0} {0>Там живет очень дружелюбная игуана, или не одна.<}0{>There, a very amicable iguana lives there; or there may be more of them.<0} {0>Можете даже угостить ее бананом или орешками.<}0{>You may even treat it with a banana or nuts.<0}

{0>Дальше шоссе ведет нас через город Бараона к другой лагуне - Laguna Del Rincon (или Laguna Cabral).<}0{>Then, the highway led us through Barahona to another lagoon – Laguna Del Rincon (or Laguna Cabral).<0} {0>Это самое большое пресное озеро в Доминиканской республике.<}0{>This was the largest lake in the Dominican Republic.<0} {0>Правда, и здесь нам не удалось искупаться.<}0{>Though, we could not swim there.<0} {0>Берег озера скорее напоминает болото.<}0{>The lakeside looked rather like a swamp.<0} {0>Мы даже не решились подъехать ближе.<}0{>We did not even decide to drive closer.<0} {0>Зато здесь очень красивый вид.<}0{>On the other hand, the view was amazing.<0} {0>И закаты в этом районе великолепные.<}0{>And the sunsets there were marvelous.<0}

{0>Теперь наш путь лежит в Duverge (читается Дюверже, это французское название).<}0{>Then we went to Duvergè (spelled in French manner).<0} {0>Мы решили там заночевать.<}0{>We decided to spent a night there.<0}

{0>Обратите внимание на интересную примесь французских корней в доминиканском языке, как на всей границе с Гаити, так и в близлежащих городах, например в этом.<}0{>You may note an interesting addition of the French morphological roots to the Dominican language both all along the border with Haiti and in the near towns; for example, in that one.<0} {0>Акцент настолько сильный, что кажется здесь буквально вчера проводили дегустацию пары десятков сотен тысяч баррелей халявного рома…<}0{>The accent was so strong that it seemed that they had degustated a couple of dozens of hundreds of thousands of barrels of free rum just several days before.<0}

{0>Не доезжая до самого города, по левой стороне вы увидите незамысловатую “cabana” (мотель по нашему) с большим красным сердцем внутри дворика.<}0{>Short of the town, on the left side of the road, there was a simple “cabana” (a motel) with a large red heart in the yard.<0} {0>Вечером ее заметить проще – есть пара неоновых трубок зеленого цвета.<}0{>In the evening, it was easier to see it – there were a couple of green neon tubes.<0} {0>Найти ничего лучше в самом городе нам не представилось возможным.<}0{>We failed to find something better than that in the town.<0}

{0>Хозяина этого развратного пристанища зовут Rodrigo.<}0{>The owner of that dissolute shelter was named Rodrigo:<0} {0>Вменяемый дядька, за 70 долларов дал нам 2 номера.<}0{>a normal fellow; he rented us two rooms for 70 dollars.<0} {0>Все чистенько, телевизор, по одной подушке на двуногое существо, душ без горячей воды.<}0{>Everything was clean; there was a TV set, a pillow for each human being, and a shower with no hot water.<0}

{0>Кстати, в Санто-Доминго этот бизнес (мотели, они же “cabanas”) держат китайцы.<}0{>Besides, in Santo Domingo, that business (motels or “cabanas”) was controlled by the Chinese.<0} {0>Чисто для галочки вы должны хоть раз в жизни изменить All-Inc. и провести ночь в таком месте, правда, очень прикольно.<}0{>Just to observe formalities you should, at least once, prefer a night in such place to All-Inc. It is funny. Indeed.<0}
{0>Что взять с собой:<}100{>What should you take with you?<0}

{0>Возможно, пригодится некоторый запас воды и продовольствия, но на большей части пути есть магазины.<}0{>Probably, you will need some water and food. But on most parts of the way there are stores.<0} {0>В любом случае, захватите купальники и плавки, а на вечер средство от комаров.<}0{>Anyway, take your swimming suits and trunks, and an insect repellent for the evening time.<0}
