The article describes examples of models that play an important role
in the formation of natural science literacy of students in the study
of physical phenomena. The model approach makes it possible to
transform the educational material into a form that allows you to re-
place the real object under study with an ideal model that preserves
its basic properties and allows you to understand the structure and
functions. The main features of physical and mathematical models
are considered on the example of phenomena emitted in the course
“Electrodynamics”, such as charging a capacitor and alternating
electric current. Examples of models are given, which are presented
in the training videos of the GetAClass resource. The characteristics
of tasks are given, which can be classified both by the composition
of the sign-symbolic representation, and by the assimilation of men-
tal actions when working with various models.
Keywords: the model, the model approach to the study of a physi-
cal phenomena, the natural science literacy of students.
