Reading. Read the text and choose the correct answers. Many years ago, in Italy, in the family of a musician, was born a boy, who was named Galileo Galilei. At the age of seventeen, Galileo, on the advice of his father, entered the university and began to study medicine. However, this science did not captivate the young man. He was interested in research in the field of technology, so the young man left his studies at the university and began to study the works of the ancient Greek -Euclid, Archimedes, Plato, Apollonius, and especially deeply comprehended the exact sciences: mathematics, physics and astronomy. Galileo made a number of important discoveries. He researched and substantiated how to find the center of gravity of bodies of various shapes discovered the laws of falling bodies and invented special scales to measure the density of bodies. Galileo built a spotting scope with his own hands and was the first to use it to observe the heavenly bodies. With its help, he discovered spots on the Sun, mountains on the Moon, saw the phases of the planet Venus and discovered four satellites of Jupiter. With astronomical observations and conclusions from them, Galileo confirmed the teachings of Copernicus that the Earth rotates and moves around the Sun.
