| Methodological basis of the work In the process of researching, in accordance with the analyzing morphological and syntactic, lexical ways of use of definite/indefinite category, were used descriptive method, which gives a chance to use the language as a system. As well as, for full description of definite/indefinite functional-semantic category were used methods of transformation and distribution to determine the borders of small fields. To determine the semantic components of definite/indefinite meanings was used the method of analyzing the component.
Propositions of the work for defending: - the definite/indefinite category of Kazakh language is the functional-semantic category. Its conceptual status consists from many semantic variants which are shown in different degrees of language; - definite/indefinite functional-semantic category is shown in lexical, morphological, syntactic degrees; - definite/indefinite functional-semantic category is exactly shown in language, context; - definite/indefinite functional-semantic category in Kazakh language is the conceptual category; - invariant meaning of the definite/indefinite functional-semantic category bases on the acquaintance of the thing to the listener; - definite/indefinite category as a functional-semantic field is shown by morphological, lexical, syntactic means and context. All of them are grouped as a invariant meaning of the definite/indefinite category. Inculcation of the research The main results and concepts of the research work were published in republic periodical in quantity of 9 articles.
