Датированию событий и объектов прошлого посвящено множество исследований. Исчерпывающий перечень трудов потребовал бы сборника в нескольких томах — и все равно что-то осталось бы неохваченным. Поэтому в отборе примеров и источников я был очень придирчив. И все-таки я приведу список основной литературы по каждой главе, для тех читателей, которым захочется ознакомиться с предметом подробнее. Я старался выбирать наиболее основательные обзоры и последние статьи, где хорошо изложены и предшествующие труды на эту тему.
