GLOBAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE PROGRAM STRATEGY OF
THE SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTIES OF EUROPE
Annotation. In the modern era, globalization processes take place as a
worldwide integration of markets, finance, trade, services, cultures, travel and much
more. In the context of globalization, most measures to deregulate financial and
trade policies put the interests of corporations above the interests of citizens. Such a
process has not been supported and is not supported by the majority of Social
Democrats. The reason for the decline in social demoralization is often cited as the
decline of the foundations of the social democratic working class in industry and, as
a result, the decline in the influence of trade unions, since many jobs were
fragmented or moved outside their countries (localized). Rapid technological
changes (including the information and communication sphere) have also contributed
to globalization. The "tech giants" now have enormous power over personal and
corporate information.
Another important problem that globalization creates is the uncontrolled
migration process. Many parties (for example, the Bulgarian SDS) they are not
concerned about the inclusion of immigration policy in their programs, although now
it is hardly possible for any political movement to completely ignore it. The Social
Democrats, like many progressive political forces, ironically found themselves in the
immigration process, rejecting the kind of regulation they would normally seek in the
labor market.
Internationalization occurring at the global level does not mean the end of
state regulation. The national states of Europe, despite joining the EU, still remain in
many ways the center of power.
The Social Democratic Parties of Europe are developing modern strategies for
their development. The party's strategy matters only if it is future-oriented.
Sociologists and economists identify long-term means that shape people's core values
and preferences. Strategies involve a constant programmatic appeal to a set of
12
general regulatory policy principles. The foundations of politics follow from the
movements of voters and the motives of voters in relation to the strategy of the social
party.
In order to convey the content of the strategy to the voters, it takes a lot of time.
The parties' public relations services need to spend time processing political
information so that it is understandable to voters and inspires their trust. The party's
program strategy should give a clear answer to the question: "What election-related
goals should a specific program strategy provide?". The real facts show that among
the political preferences of voters there is a certain departure from social democracy.
Given the distribution of voters' preferences and the positions of the party's
competitors, it is necessary to be very careful in choosing the content of the program,
taking into account the attractiveness, which allows it to achieve its goal more likely.
