Analysis of opportunities and
practices of use unmanned transport systems
in regional cargo air transportation
Abstract. In condition
of digital economy development,
including Internet trading, there is
necessity in effective organization of cargo in global, national and regional scale. Fundamental changes
in business models of goods production require appropriate changes in transport sphere too.
Requirements of flexibility, speed and safety of the goods delivery to consumers constantly increase.
Post, courier and other delivery services seek new
technological opportunities, which will provide
long-term competitive advantages in these conditions. Unmanned aviation systems are considered as
one of these opportunities.
Article is review of modern tendencies on market of cargo air transportation in the world and
Russia. Current situation of unmanned transportation systems in aviation is reviewed. Domestic market
of unmanned aviation systems and direction its future development
in frame of the national
technological initiative "Aeronet" are discussed. Specific attention paid to analysis a practice of using
unmanned aviation systems in postal delivery. Data about results of postal drones tests in Germany,
Singapore, Switzerland and other countries are considered. Tendencies in organization of pilot projects
with postal drone usage are revealed
The article determines information
basis for generating, assessment
and choosing most
effective possibilities in applying of unmanned aviation systems in solving tasks of postal delivery.
According authors opinion these tasks more urgent in rural areas, located in remote and inaccessible
territories. Efficiency analysis of using unmanned transport systems in regional cargo air transportation
will be considered in next articles.
