them to respond to environmental factors. Accurate identification of phytopathogenic bacteria is
important for the diagnosis and prediction of bacterioses, especially for species that are difficult or
impossible to cultivate. The proposed study is aimed at developing an express method for identifying
phytopathogenic bacterioses of cereal crops (belonging to the genera Pseudomonas and Xanthomonas)
based on a fast version of the PCR method - Xtreme Chain Reaction (XCR) and isothermal DNA
amplification (LAMP) as an effective platform for identifying bacterial DNA and determining
structures of populations and pathogens of black and basal bacterioses [17, 18].
XCR and LAMP are highly specific methods for amplifying the DNA of specific targets,
capable of identifying target DNA quickly and highly precisely, which is important in the
identification of quarantine infections, various monitoring studies, and customs control of food quality
in cases of export or import.
Research on the development of a method for identifying bacterioses of cereal crops based on
XCR and LAMP methods is new both for Kazakhstan and the world community.
The scientific novelty lies in the development of a method for the molecular genetic
identification of bacterioses of cereal crops by highly specific methods of extreme polymerase reaction
(XCR) and the method of isothermal DNA amplification (LAMP). For the first time, genetic diversity
analysis of bacteriosis strains that affect wild cereals and important agricultural cereal crops will be
carried out.
In connection with Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO and the expansion of trade with the
countries of Asia and Africa, the likelihood of the penetration of dangerous bacterial diseases of wheat
and other cereals is very high. In this regard, wheat seeds imported from countries where bacteriosis is
common must necessarily undergo a phytoexamination and be sown for soil control in a quarantine
nursery.
