| Relevance of the research topic:
Economic relations: China is North Korea's largest trading partner. Economic relations between the two countries are of great importance for North Korea, which suffers from sanctions and international economic isolation. The PRC is the main supplier of food, fuel and other goods for North Korea. It should be noted that China is the only country that has not officially supported sanctions against North Korea. Political relations: the PRC and North Korea have close political relations. The PRC is the main ally of North Korea, and the two countries signed an agreement on Friendship, Cooperation and mutual assistance in 1961. China is also a permanent member of the UN Security Council and may influence decision-making in relation to North Korea. Nuclear / nuclear problem: the PRC also has an important impact on North Korea's nuclear program. The PRC is the main supplier of fuel to North Korean nuclear reactors and could put pressure on North Korea to stop its nuclear program. Migration and security: there are a significant number of illegal migrants from North Korea seeking asylum in China. Determining the aspects of the influence of the PRC on the geopolitical situation in the region.
