| ABSTRACT
Relevance of the study. Names in English, despite all their features and importance for foreign language learners, little attention is paid to practical and theoretical English language courses. It is obvious that without knowledge of a certain set of proper names and the peculiarities of their work in speech, it is impossible to fully communicate in English, therefore effective teaching of this language is impossible. We wanted to eliminate this gap a bit. Currently, to learn English, it was necessary to study this area, so the topic of our work is relevant. Scientific forecast of the research work: if we delved into the naming system of the English, determining the origin of names in English, we could master the English language perfectly and would not be mistaken in communication. The purpose of the study: to examine the history of the English name system, to identify the most common English names. Responsibilities: - Study of literature on this topic; - To give a brief description of the history of the origin and meaning of English names; - Identification of the most unusual names in England; - A contest "What English name do you know?" was held among the students - "What English name do you know?"and interpretation of the result; -Summing up the results. Scientific novelty of scientific work. We have identified the history and features of the formulation of personal names in English. In the practical part, we have systematized popular English names. Results of the work. we learned the prerequisites that influenced the formation of the English name system. The most notable feature of the English naming system is the so-called additional name (or middle name). Theoretical significance of the study: the effectiveness of the need for respect, respect, constant memorization of another language is revealed. Practical significance of the research: the materials accumulated as a result of the research can be included in the program of elective courses in school literary disciplines, which will be studied and studied in English in the future. Methods of work execution.
