Research Purpose and Objectives The purpose of this research is to define the level of influence of project management on success of realization of renewable energy production projects. The objective is to define and categorize projects into three types of energy production. Three main sources of renewable energy chosen for this research including water energy production, wind rotors stations and modern solar panel power plants. Each type of project will be valued by the number of project costs, people involved in project development and planning time. Research Questions/Hypotheses Hypothesis 1: Project management is especially important in all types of renewable energy projects. Hypothesis 2: Project management is highly effective in projects for the construction of wind turbines and hydroelectric power plants. Hypothesis 3: Project management is highly effective in projects for the construction of wind turbines and solar panels power plants. Hypothesis 4: Project management is highly effective in projects for the construction of Solar power plants and wind turbines projects. Preliminary Literature Review/Background Increase of energy demand leads to many problems related to energy production, for example global warming and bad gases pollution of the planet. These problems force government of many countries to support renewable energy production projects. As a result there are many projects around the world that related to the renewable energy, but many of them forcing many INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL «GLOBAL SCIENCE AND INNOVATIONS 2022: CENTRAL ASIA» ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN, SEPTEMBER 2022 43 problems and then fail. The field of renewable energy is innovative and due to the high risks and complexity of project implementation, this field attracts many enthusiasts and potential project managers. Figure I - Bibliometric analysis of “Renewable energy” and “Project management” with time frame Cluster analysis shows that the two clusters green and red are dominant ones in this illustration whereas green one basically represents the project management itself depicting its stages such as planning or scheduling and also portrays some strategic planning features related to plant construction such as building, construction and energy conservation. The second largest cluster articles are mainly focused on the benefits of renewable energy and what is generally affected by the production of this type of energy for example greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide etc. Blue cluster related to risks of such projects, possible benefits and project evaluation. |
