Never work without flashback arrestors as mentioned follows:
Acetylene: Both ends must have flashback arrestors
Oxygen : Torch end must have flashback arrestor
Propane: Both ends must have flashback arrestors
Never leave the cylinders unsecured or without caps.
Do not roll the cylinders on the ground (especially acetylene) to transport them and lift them from the valves.
Do not operate the valve with oiled gloves and smoke near ( 8 m) cylinders
Store different types of cylinders in at least 8 meter distance.
Any under pressure gases including dangerous. These gases can be easily burn because its including such a gases: hydrogen, natural gases etc.
Its can be easily burned under the high temperature, naked flames, any sparks and air flash back cases.
Turn your attention for any signs of cylinders
Leakage, rusts, cracks, signs of burn, dirty valves, frayed hoses etc.
Broken monometers, valves and damaged cables.
To Prevent of explosion follow this principles:
Identify level of dangerous of gas. You can find information from information label. Don’t use it if you haven’t information.
When you receiving Acetylene Gas, make sure that it’s transported in vertically position. Horizontal posed cylinders can be exploding.
Make sure that all connection of valves, hoses was properly connected.
