     Definite/indefinite functional-semantic

     category in kazakh language

     The urgency of research work To research the linguistic categories on meaning is the one of the actual direction in the both language theory and practice. Nowadays describing the functional-semantic categories in the context of functional grammar takes one of the important place in this sphere. In spite of researching the functional grammar started in general science of language a long time ago, it is one of the newest theme in Kazakh language science.

     The definite/indefinite category of Kazakh language was not the object of special research work yet. Its paradigmatic construction, demonstration in different degrees of language were not determined before. But, according to the necessity of this kind of researching, especially, in spheres of functional grammar, typology, the history of language, the theory of translation and practice, the methodology of teaching of Kazakh language, it gives reason to research this problem. The actuality and aim of the research are to find and analyzing of linguistic means that forms the definite/indefinite functional-semantic category and according to their general semantic functions to unite them in one field. Determining general meanings of grammar-lexical field's components we tried to describe the construction of this field and relation of its elements.
