«Plants and animals»

The main aim of the lesson;

Educational: a) to develop students ability in speaking English language,

to revise vocabulary of animals and plants.

Developing: а) to develop students’ skills and habits in speech

б) to develope students interest in the Subject of English

Bringing-up: to bringing-up love to animals and plants

The visual aids: computer, interactive board, electronic book, pictures, association.

The form of the lesson:

Teaching methods: consolidation, question-answer, pair-work, group work.

The connection other subjects: ecology, biology, literature

The procedure of the lesson:

  1. Warm up: with interactive board

IV. New theme: Boys and girls, the theme of our lesson is «Plants and Animals».

We have spoken, about plants and animals, read texts, learned new words.

Let’s begin. Please look at the interactive board match the pictures to the words:

  1. The text from the book «About Animals»

S-s; read the text one by one. While reading the text they study the vocabulary of the text.

А) Words: vast, varied, depth, survival, exactly, amazingly, feathers, shells, scales, creatures,

survive, features, alive, fuel, muscles, nerve, danger, react.

В) Write out the key words which are connected with animals and compare them.

V. Assosiation: (with active board)

A lion a squirrel

Choose the one of the animal and you may draw a diagram (with active board)

Use the following information about them.( colour, food, size, habitat, characteristics)

(Work in groups of three or four)



  1. And now let’s check your knowledge;

Describe the life in desert.

Describe the life in the tropical forest

Speak about different kinds of animals.

VI. Grammar material: Name the plural forms of the nouns.

Guessing game : The water in the sea is cold,

It is as cold as ice.

But I am not afraid at all,

My coat is warm and nice.

I’m gathering some acorns

For winter food for me

(a squirrel)

I am baby…..

My coat is smooth and nice,

It is of yellow colour

With pretty narrow stripes.

  1. Let’s play . Crossword.

Write the name of each animal in English near the pictures .

Look at the crossword and try to find the names of ten animals

Developing: to develop students’ reading, listening ,speaking habits in monologue

and dialogue speech

Bringing-up: to bring up the children love the nature, flowers;

The visual aids: electronic book, active board, pictures

Teaching methods: consolidation, question-answer, pair-work, group work.

The type of the lesson: Creative lesson

The connection other subjects: ecology, biology.

The procedure of the lesson:

II. Warm up: the rhyme (cubism with interactive board)

Flowers

I like flowers that are brite,

I like flowers with a nice smell

That blossom in gardens so well


  1. Today we have an interesting lesson «Flowers»

Brain storming questions.

Do you like flowers?

Do you plant flowers?

What is your favourite flowers?

Do you water it?


  1. Work with active board

a/ Look at the pictures and let’s speak about flowers;

Do you know? What are the name of these flowers?

Tulips, Snowdrops, Rose, Dandelion, Water lily, Daisy, Chrysanthemum.

Say which of them smell pleasant or don’t smell at all,

Which of them like or dislike.

For ex: Use the following

b/Speak symbol of different countries;

For example; about rose, a thistle , a daffodile, a shamrock.


V. Let’s play (балаларды сергіту үшін)

a/ «Гүл» сөзінен басталатын қыздардың, ұлдардың есімдерін айту.

For ex; Danagul, Ainagul, Gulbakit……..

b/Tell the poem about flowers in your native language or in English that you know.
VI. Make up many true sentences as you can;
