Volunteers in Russia

Free trips to Russia are not usually offered to the foreign students, the only way for them to get into the country is through various volunteer programs. There are many obstacles for those who wish to visit this exotic country. For instance, the cost of the Russian visa in many European countries comes up to $150, not mentioning that simply getting the visa is a very long and troublesome matter. Nevertheless, over 200 volunteers have visited Russia this summer via British Rail International Agent only. The restoration program of Sherementev estate in Yoshkar-Ola was especially popular. Volunteer work in the forest area of Ural region as well as the restoration of monastery in Tikhonov desert was also extremely successful. Other programs that really attracted volunteers from foreign countries include helping the patients of hospice in Ekaterinburg, Другие программы, привлекавшие к работе добровольцев-иностранцев, включали, например, помощь пациентам хосписа в Екатеринбурге, conducting lessons for the children from orphanage houses, for the children with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and many others.
