Abstract: in the article the original solution of the problem of happiness and the modernity of the 
philosophical views of the great philosopher of the scholar Abu Nasr Farabi are analyzed. The 
views on happiness and on the ways of achieving it in the teachings of the great thinker of the East, 
who saw human happiness in harmony with the universal man and proceeded from the belief that 
happiness constitutes the main chain of human activity, are illuminated. The way to this is science 
and upbringing. The place and significance of the great thinker's doctrine in the spiritual progress 
of society are considered.
