Course Name (Название курса):
Introduction into Russian Culture
Course Summary (Аннотация курса):
During the course students have lectures on Russian culture. Students study texts, audio and video materials on cultural topics, participate in classroom discussions, projects, role games.
During the course of studies students perform 2 tests.
CourseAims (Цели и задачи курса):
To introduce students to Russian culture; to form the sociocultural competence (knowing the official and unofficial symbols of Russia, expanding the ideas about features everyday life of the Russian people, Russian cultural adaptation).
Student Learning Outcomes (Результаты обучения):
A student is expected to demonstrate the following achievements:
1. To know the basic symbols of Russia, the traditional Russian (Slavic) festivals and rituals.
2. To discuss the major achievements of Russian art (painting, music, ballet, film, animation etc.)
