Criteria for evaluating written products in grade 8: Mar k / Crite rion Content Communicati on Organization (cohesion, paragraphing, and format) Vocabulary Grammar and Punctuation 6 Fulfils the task: reports clear personalopinion or recommendatio n to atarget reader, general comments, main points of the event are mentioned ( time, people,place andect.) Writes about 120-150words The style of writing is appropriate to a writing review. (formal/se miformal) Follows the correct structure of a review (includes introduction, main body and conclusion) Text is well organizedand coherent with a variety of linking words/ phrases and cohesive devices Uses paragraphs to Uses and a range oftopical vocabulary and everyday vocabulary appropriately; Spells common vocabulary itemscorrectly; Errors in word choice and/or spelling do not distort meaning.
