Purpose of discipline:This discipline is devoted to the biogeographic distribution
of the territory and natural resources to provide explanations on the diversity of species and the protection of species associations.
Course aim:To know the regions of distribution of fauna and flora of the globe, to determine the features of the past and present distribution of living organisms, to teach both science and the stage of development of evolutionary ideas, to master the concepts
of biogeocenosis and ecosystems, problems of conservation of biological diversity.
Course description:The basic principles of the construction and functioning of the biosphere and ecosystems, the biogeographic distribution of the territory and the characteristics of the regions. Considers the protection of the diversity of natural resources and species associations.
Prerequisites: Ecology of plants and animals
Postrequisites: Evolutionary doctrine

LOS 1. Can use biogeographic maps and comparative geographical methods related to biogeographic objects
LOS 2. Apply in practice basic and theoretical knowledge of biogeography in the field of environmental protection, monitoring and indication of the state of ecosystems, environmental management;
