Purpose of discipline:This discipline gives the concept of obtaining new products from biologically active compounds and active forms of organisms.
Course aim: to know the regulation of metabolism in biological objects and microbial cells by methods of mutagenesis and genetic engineering.
Course description: Modern technologies of growing plant cells, tissues development of biosauna based on methods of clonal micro-propagation of algae and higher plants cultivation. Examines the biology of the synthesis of secondary compounds from lower and higher plants and the cultivation of plant cells
Prerequisites: Genetics
Postrequisites: Manufacturing practice
Expected learning outcomes of the subject (LOS):
LOS1. Able to describe the mobile genetic elements of eukaryotes and prokaryotes.
LOS2. Can use DNA technology, Molecular Biotechnology.
