Kazakhstan hosts over 130 nationalities living together. In Kazakhstan the multi lingual education started in the third quarter of the 1800s in the schools which provided Kazakh and Russian educa- tion. In the following years Russian, Uzbek and German were also used in the education. Recently, trilingual education has been performed because of the globalization impact. It is remarkable that nowadays English is accepted as a medium of instruction in some schools where Russia and Kazakh were once used only. Trilingual education, in a way, means that students will not be able to learn three languages efficiently. The most important result of this choice will be a risk of having a Kazakh generation who cannot acquire (LEARN) their mother tongue very well. This will be an undesirable danger for the future of Kazakh language. When we examine the language of education in developed countries, we see that the medium of education is unilingual; that is their mother tongue. The other languages are taught as a foreign language. Just as the education in developed countries, Kazakhstan should carry out a system in which the education is unilingual and and other languages are taught as a foreign language in order to have a healthy education. Қаақстандағы көп тілді білім беру тарихы алғаш рет ХІХ ғасырдың соңғы ширегінен бастап орыс және қазақ тілдерінде білім беретін мектептердің ашылуымен басталғаны белгілі. Кеңес одағы тұсында мектептерде орыс, өзбек, ұйғыр тб. тілдерде білім беріліп келді. Соңғы жылдары жаһанданудың ықпалымен болса керек бұрыннан орыс тілі оқытылып жүрген ұлттық мектептерде ағылшын тілінің білім беру тілі ретінде оқытыла бастауы назар аударарлық мәселе. Бірден үш тілде оқыту оқушылардың үш тілді де өз деңгейінде үйрене алмауы деген сөз. Ана тілінде, яғни қазақ тілінде сөйлейтін жас ұрпақтың өз тілін жақсы білмеу қаупі туатыны анық. Мұндай жағдай қазақ тілінің бола- шағына қауіп төндіреді. Дамыған елдерге қарасақ білім беру тілінің бір ғана тіл екенін, басқа тілдерді үйрену шет тілі деңгейінде екенін байқаймыз. Қазақстанда да дамыған елдердегідей білім беру бір ғана тілде жүргізіліп, басқа тілдер шет тілі ретінде оқытылғаны абзал. |
