The creative potential of extracurricular activitiesof music education faculties of universities
The author examines the different approaches of scientists to the nature and content of the «extracurricular ac-
tivities», gives the definition of this concept. The article identified and justified general guidelines of extracurricular
activities and principles of its organization as a creative environment. The author has carried out a classification of
types of extracurricular activities of music education faculties of universities, described musical-educational activi-
ties and
distinguished
its main characteristics. Thus, a study conducted by the author suggests that the extracurric-
ular activities of music education faculties is an integral part of the creative potential of the university, and in turn,
has huge creative potential itself.
