| INTRODUCTION
In the modern environment the emphasis is given to development of energy, oil and gas industry, environmental protection and security of energy supply. The international links between the different oil and gas companies are getting closer; the globalization process is being intensive. These factors make actual the development and the publication of the Kazakh-Russian-English Dictionary on Oil and Gas, which includes about 25,000 terms. The proposed “Kazakh-Russian-English Dictionary on Oil and Gas” includes the terminology of following areas: petroleum geology; exploration geophysics, gravity exploration, logging, magnetic survey, radiometrics, seismic, electrical exploration, geologic exploration; drilling of oil and gas wells, drilling equipment and drilling technology, washover, well casing and cementing, oil and gas fi eld development; offshore oil and gas fi eld development and operation; oil and gas well operation, enhanced oil and gas recovery, well servicing, underground hydraulics and petrophysics; well completion processes, near-wellbore treatment methods, oil and gas gathering, transportation and storage; construction and operation of pipelines, pumping stations and other oil and gas facilities. The dictionary includes large volume of offshore drilling terminology, refl ecting the drilling processes in different climatic conditions, the terminology of pipeline transportation (onshore and offshore), as well as terminology of related areas: geology, geophysics, mineralogy, welding, etc. The dictionary is intended for the translators of petroleum literature, the researchers and the engineers of oil and gas industry, the post-graduates and the students of the universities and the colleges. ─ 6 ─ СӨЗДІКТІ ПАЙДАЛАНУ ТУРАЛЫ Сөздікте басты терминдер алфавиттік тəртіппен орналасқан, мысалы: жүктеу/скачать 2.77 Mb.
