EFFICIENCY OF THE SYSTEM OF CRITERIA ASSESSMENT OF ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
OF PUPILS OF THE INITIAL CLASSES

The article describes the types of evaluation in education. It reveals a comparative analysis of the assessment
and monitoring of secondary schools with an evaluation scheme of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
Disadvantages of assessment in traditional secondary schools are discussed. The need
to introduce reforms in the
system of evaluation considered to be one of the most important changes at this time in education is analyzed.
Authentic examples of assessing students’ achievement in different subjects are shown which was carried through the
integrated criteria-based assessment model.
