Officially temperature is measured in degrees Centigrade ( 0 C), but Britain and some other countries also use degrees Fahrenheit ( 0 F). A temperature change of as much as 40 degrees (Fahrenheit) within a single day is not uncommon. It may be freezing cold one afternoon, and bright, warm and sunny the very next morning, or unfortunately vice versa.
