Traditional music is essential part of culture of every nation in the world. Understanding similarity and difference between traditional music of two different cultures are important- ly, because traditional music reflects community’s actual life from ancient times to nowadays. Exchange students after figuring out this problem can deeply understand and feel traditional culture of other country. For this reason, I devote research to relevant issue. This diploma project is research find out similarity and difference of most typical Russian and Chinese traditional music instruments, the methods of playing on it, emotional expression through perfor- mance.
