intervals. Concentrate your attention on the intonation of direct address:

for, Mum? 5. Right, Dad. 6. Come on, Nora. 7. Hello, Betty,
dear! 8. Well, what’s the news, Mr. White? 9. What do you think

you, Mr. Walker? 11. Yes, of course, Mrs. Howard. 12. Goodbye,
