«KISSAS UL ANBIYO» BY NASIREDDIN BURKHANIDDIN RABGUZI IN THE CONTEXT
OF DECLARING ISLAM THE STATE RELIGION OF THE GOLDEN HORDE

Abstraсt. This article focuses on the historical, cultural and spiritual mission of the outstanding
religious figure of the Golden Horde, Nasireddin Burkhandin Rabguzi, who lived at the late 13
th
– early 14
th
centuries. For the first time, the social and political significance of his work “Kissas ul anbiyo” is mentioned
in the context of the declaration of Islam as the state religion of the Golden Horde. This indicates the
peculiarities of the establishment of a single power and uniform laws in a vast territory was due to the
diversity of races and languages, socio-cultural, religious ideas of different peoples, etc. Rabguzi was
faced with the task of a correct and convincing Islamic interpretation of the creation of the world and the
universe. He could lucidly explain the genesis of the emergence of “Ilah” - existence (being). Rabguzi’s work
“Kissasul anbiyo” testifies that in Khorezm only he could be entrusted with the interpretation of the text of
the Holy Koran. The political and confessional requests and the order of the khan’s court are the main
conditions for the appearance of his historical work “Kissasul anbiyo” (“The Narrative of the Prophets”), the
manuscripts of which were distributed among the Turkic-speaking peoples, in all mosques and madrasahs
in the vast territory of the Golden Horde

Введение. Недооценка роли великого деятеля религиозной культуры Насиреддина Бурханидина
Рабгузи и значения его произведения «Киссас ул анбиё» в тюркской истории литературы,
в казахстанской науке в том числе, свидетельствует о недостаточном уровне исследований личного
вклада и роли средневекового автора в системе абсолютистского государства, каким является
Золотая Орда. Именно духовная деятельность Рабгузи способствовала установлению единой
власти и единых законов на огромной территории, обусловленных разнообразностью рас и языков,
общественно-культурных и религиозных представлений народов. Только Рабгузи мог убедительно
интерпретировать и объяснить генезис сотворения мира - «Илаһ» - сущего (бытия). Произведение
«Киссасул анбиё» отчетливо указывает на высокий авторитет Рабгузи.
