PREVENTION OF VICTIM BEHAVIOR OF STUDENT
YOUTH ON THE INTERNET

The tendencies and ways of preventive work of victimization on the
Internet are considered. The authors analyze the possibilities of ped-
agogical prevention of victim behavior of student youth in the cyber
information environment. The factors, prerequisites, risks influenc-
ing victimization are highlighted. The article discusses the need to
transform educational work with students, since the totality of peda-
gogical problems is changing, caused by the increased influence of
the cyber- information environment, its artificial separation from the
general beingness on the personality of the student of higher edu-
cation immersed in it.
The article analyzes the dualistic nature of cyber- victimhood, which
is based on the families ‘underestimation of the risks of cyber-
socialization, and the lack of students’ skills in working with infor-
mation in the cyber- information environment, as well as the formed
information and communication culture. The purpose of our study
was to identify the possibilities of preventing victim behavior on the
Internet among young people through the use of pedagogical mech-
anisms to build a safe educational environment in higher education.
The authors believe that in order to achieve the goal, it is necessary
to include in the educational work of the university the tasks of form-
ing a strategy for the constructive behavior of students in the cy-
ber information network and determining the methods of preventive
work of victimization among students in the educational organization
of an educational institution.
