SUMMARY
The relevance of the research stems from the
need to form a certain level of digital competen-
ce
of the future teacher, as digital technologies
are becoming a central
part of everyday educa-
tional work. The article reveals the essence of the
concepts of “digitalization”, “digital competence
of the future teacher”, presents the results of an
empirical study. The conducted research has shown
that the development of the digital competence
of the future teacher should be aimed at integra-
ting the skills of working with modern informa-
tion and communication
technologies and various
digital media; the ability to critically evaluate me-
dia content and know the advantages and disad-
vantages of digital media; adequate use of digital
tools and opportunities for effective communica-
tion in various contexts; skillful use of informa-
tion technology and digital resources in various
educational situations.
