Özkul Çobanoğlu ORTAK TÜRK YAZI DİLİ’NİN KURULMASINDA MÜŞTEREK ATASÖZLERİNİN YERİ VE ÖNEMİ Title: The Potency and Importance of Common Proverbs for the High and Standard Written Turkic Language Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to explain potential of common proverbs among the Turkic peoples for establishing a high and standard Turkic written language. First of all main discussions about the high and standard Turkic language will be summarized. Then, the common proverbs among the Turkic peoples which were collected by the present author in a recent work will be evaluated from various points of view like as a source of folk philosophy, common vocabulary and a special attention will be given their functional, structural and contextual characteristics which were suppose to put them in a moving position of instrument for a high and standard Turkic written language.
