| Phraseological units in the novel "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte and their equivalents in
the Russian language. Phraseollogical units are word-groups that cannot be made in the process of speech, they exist in the language as ready- made units. They are compiled in special dictionaries. I met such dictionaries as: L. Smith "Words and Idioms" and A.V. Kunin " Phraseology in Modern English language". Phraseological units can be classified according to the ways they are formed, according to the degree of the motivation of their meaning. A.V. Kunin classified phrasological units according to the way they are formed. He pointed out primary and secondary ways of forming phraseological units. Also I observed L. Smith's phraseological units, and I found phraseological classifications. In the novel "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, I found a lot of phraseology, so I classified this phraseological units with the help of A.V. Kunin and L.Smith's in groups: 1. Phraseological units can be formed by using "natural phenomena". 2. Phraseological units can be formed by using "color". 3. Phraseological units can be formed by using "comparative degree". 116 4. Phraseological units can be formed by using "animals and pets". 5. Phraseological units can be formed by using "birds". 6. Phraseological units can be formed by using "human body". 7. Phraseological units can be formed by using " the heart" . 8. Phraseological units can be formed by using "repeating the same word". 9. Phraseological units can be formed by using " the time". 10.
